Koç University received the Most Successful Institution in Turkey Award within the “Horizon 2020” program, the world’s largest innovation and research program. With a total of 52 projects and 23,8 million euros funding, our university was ranked at the top among all universities in Turkey. Along with this award, three projects carried out by Koç University academics and funded by the European Commission with a total of 6 million Euros were awarded among the most successful projects.

One of them is the “Organ Transplantation Immunology Research Center of Excellence” Project (TIREX – Koç University Transplant Immunology Research Center of Excellence) led by Prof. İhsan Solaroğlu from the School of Medicine, the second of which is SparCity, managed by Assist. Prof. Didem Unat from the College of Engineering, and the third is “Building the Future: Excelling in Computational and Quantitative Social Sciences in Turkey” conducted by Assoc. Prof. Erdem Yörük from the College of Social Sciences and Humanities.
