Dr. Buse Cevatemre Yıldırım from Koç University Research Center for Translational Medicine (KUTTAM) has been honored with the “L’Oreal-UNESCO for Women in Science” 2022 award. Her project entitled “Investigation of the Role and Molecular Mechanism of BRPF Epigenetic Regulators in Reversing Taxane Resistance in Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer” was funded in the field of “Life and Environmental Sciences”. Leading a very important project in the treatment process for prostate cancer, one of the cancer types with a low survival rate in men, Dr. Buse Cevatemre Yıldırım conducting her research on cancer molecular biology in Dr. Ceyda Açılan Ayhan’s laboratory. Dr. Cevatemre Yıldırım became the 13^th woman scientist from Koç University to be deemed worthy of this award.
